A little slice of me.

DS lite, Best iPod Touch Game, and My Deleted Accounts.

As you have read above, I will be talking about a few things.  Lets dive right into it.

If you have been reading my Tweets, today i went to Gamestop, and got another DS lite for my little brother.  The last one we had, only 3 months young, stopped working 6:15, on January 15, 2009.  It was a silver edition, which just recently came when we bought it (pics). It worked fine, until last December, when the hinge started to creek, and rattle when it was open all the way.  Which I thought, at the time, was a feature to make sure you did not shake the DS. But alas, it was not.  Anyhow, the new DS lite is the blue one, that is black on the inside.  It  does not creek, or squeek, it is amazing.  The new one feels better, and way better to grip during gameplay. Speaking of games…

On Wednesday, I was searching the Apps Store, and found something interesting, that would end up to be my favorite game yet.  The best iPod Touch/iPhone game I have played up until Wednesday, was Rolando.  The only problem I had with Rolando was that I could not play while I was walking, other than that it is amazing for the $9.99.   This new game is iShoot.  It is a tank game, where you get a certain amount of money, you buy weapons, and you shoot your opponents.  iShoot has fully destructible environments.   It is amazing, for the $2.99 it is well worth it (there is a lite version for you to try, which is free).

Now, I have to talk about about a few of my accounts that got frozen and/or deleted.  As I have publicly stated many upon many a times, my old Lockergnome blog which I have been blogging on for a year, was deleted. I have emailed Chris Pirillo, and he said he would get it fixed.  That was a few days ago, and as you see, I am still blogging here.  I will probably not blog on Lockergnome anymore if I do not get my blog back in the next month. Currently getting fixed, thank you Chris! Onto another account that was deleted, which was again close to my heart.  My Facebook, was disabled on Friday.  I emailed the Facebook support team, and they said they would put it up, and to read Terms of Use.  I contacted them last night and they still have not put up my Profile.  I am very mad at the support teams of both Lockergnome, and Facebook.

That is it for today.  Follow me on Twitter for the latest in me.

Typing on The iPod Touch

Writing on the iPod Touch, or iPhone is something new to me. No physical kayboard is a tad go weird at first, but now I am typing whole blog posts on here.

The virtual keyboard took about a day to get used to, but now I type like a beast on here! The predictive text is pretty good, and only makes a few mistakes.

If you are thinking about buying an iPod Touch, or an iPhone and are worried about typing, don’t worry about it, it is a great keyboard.

Day 2 of Windows 7

There are a few features I have found out about, withen the last day. One if these is Snipping Tool, which is just a screen trap application. Another is Windows Live Essentials.

If you go to the Windows vutton in the bottem left, and look up, there is a button fir Window Live Essentials, if you click it, a new page will open in your browser. This page will give you a chance to download several Microsoft applications including; Pictures, Windows Live Messenger, and a beta of the new Windows Movie Maker ( I am currently testing this out, will let you know about it). This is a very good idea on Microsoft’s behalf, with all hype with Win7, people would love to try new products from them.

On this second say of Windows 7 I am even more impressed, and really cannot wait until the relase.

Windows 7 – Beginning

I downloaded a copy of Windows 7 last night, and installed it today.  There were no hitches, no problems, it was a clean install. I installed it so I can duel boot between Vista and Win7 (Instructions here), and I have had no problems.

The first time I saw Win7’s desktop, I was shocked.  Both in a good way, and a bad way.  Good that the icons were nice and big, and the awesome pre-installed fish background.  Bad because I am used to Vista’s tiny taskbar,  Win7’s taskbar is about twice as large.  After a bit of browsing on the internet, I find nothing wrong with this, but it actually helps.  There is a few things new with the taskbar, besides the size.  On the far left there is a box.  If you press the box, it shows the desktop, press it again, it brings back your windows.  The same function as Windows Key + D, in past versions of Windows.   This is just one of the many new features in Win7.

Another feature of the taskbar, is the new way to see your open applications.  Instead of show the name of the application, it show the icon, and when you click it, it opens the application.  This not only saves space, but it is easier to use.   If you are using Internet Explorer, and have tabs open, you can click on the IE  icon in the taskbar,  and it will pop up a little window on top, and lets you chose which tab you want to open.  One of the other new features is “Documents Library”,  Which is an easier way to see your documents.

From the last 3 hours of using Windows 7, I have been astonded.  There have been no crashes, or problems.  I am going to get Windows 7 as soon as it comes out.  And if you are using the beta, do not forget to send feedback, the main reason Microsoft is giving out the beta.
